 Conservation Stations Concept

Conservation stations are platforms that enable people who share common interests or expertise in the field of architectural heritage conservation to learn together. This learning approach is based on the concept of learning stations developed by the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Center of Excellence in Education.

Conservation Stations are designed according to the various levels of Bloom taxonomy, each conservation station aims to make participants gain competences relating to both technical and non-technical aspects of learning. Participants learn with educational content designed according to learning outcomes defined at various levels such as knowing, understanding, applying, analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating.

Any content and method that will contribute to the acquisition of learning outcomes can become part of the Conservation Station. Therefore, the design of the stations is shaped by the imagination of the station coordinator(s).

Koruma Akademisi provides support in many areas such as project management, transfer of experience and assessment and evaluation for quality assurance while designing the Conservation Stations.
